Although they were in the world headlines in Spring 1982, during the conflict between Argentina and Great Britain, the Falkland Islands have since gone back into obscurity.
They are not well-known, but not only synonymous with murderous lands. Their isolation attracts enthusiasts of the wide open spaces, of solitude and wildlife. The archipelago is in fact, a dream location for searching for species of animal, particular to the Southern hemisphere. Albatross, penguins, sea lions and sea elephant are to be found in this real sanctuary of wildlife where man, happily, is still in the minority.
